About me
Cheryl worked as a recruiter in Human Resources before taking the opportunity to raise her family. When her oldest child began the college application journey, she realized how similar the process was to her former work as a recruiter. After his successful acceptance to an Ivy League institution, she quickly embraced the world of admissions. Initially working with family and friends by request, she was thrilled to partner closely with students and achieve acceptances to great universities. She then enrolled in the University of California, Irvine, where she is completing a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting. This program has been essential in allowing her to provide the most up-to-date and relevant information for her clients. In August 2023, Cheryl launched Yes College Admissions Advising. A passion is working with students on essays. She has effectively edited many essays that have accompanied applications resulting in acceptances at top schools and earning students thousands in merit money offers. Cheryl resides in NJ with her husband, children and dogs. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and is a member of IECA. When not editing essays, she can be found on the beach searching for sea glass, exercising, or thrifting. Through Zoom, GoogleDocs, and phone, Cheryl effectively works with clients from all over the United States.
